Donegal Local Development Company Ltd in association with Teagasc, The Irish Farmers Association, The Health and Safety Authority, Mental Health Ireland, Macra Na Feirme and FBD is hosting a Farm Safety Event on Quinn’s Farm in Laghey on Thursday 13th of November with presentations from 12.30pm to 3.00pm.
Speakers Include; John Starrett, vice chairperson of Donegal Local Development Company Ltd, IFA Representatives, William Gaffney, Health and Safety Authority, Bill Vaughan, Mental Health Ireland, Diane McGarrigle, FBD Insurance, as well as local farmers. An interactive live farm safety risk assessment will be carried out by Brian Mc Hugh from the Health and Safety Authority. Information will also be available from a number of organisations including Grow, Irish Country Women’s Association and Social Farming.
The event is FREE and aims to raise awareness of safety issues on the farm for farm members and visitors.
Booking is not essential, however, we advise you to come early to avoid disappointment. Refreshments will be provided.
Directions to Quinn’s Farm, Laghey
Exit the N15 Donegal to Sligo Road at Kee’s Service Station, Signposted Pettigo/Laghey/Lough Derg. After 200m turn right at the ‘T’ junction towards Ballintra and continue on the L2195 for 1Km. Opposite Trumman Plant Hire & Sales take an immediate left and proceed 500m to Quinn’s farm (Trumman Lough visible on left).
