Andrea Carter

Andrea graduated in Law from Trinity College, Dublin. She qualified as a solicitor and moved to the Inishowen peninsula where she lived and worked for a number of years. In 2005 she transferred to the Bar and moved to Dublin to practise as a barrister. She grew up in Ballyfin, Co Laois. Death at Whitewater Church is her first novel.

Death at Whitewater Church is the first in a series of Ben O’Keeffe mysteries set on the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal.

When a skeleton is discovered, wrapped in a blanket, in the hidden crypt of a deconsecrated church, everyone is convinced the bones must be those of Conor Devitt, a local man who went missing on his wedding day six years previously. But the post mortem reveals otherwise.

 

Charlotte Murphy

Charlotte is an up and coming Soul RnB vocalist. She is currently working with top names in the industry including ex. EMI Records boss Ellis Rich (OBE). She has studied Music at University of Ulster and her influences include Nina Simone and Billie Holiday. She is an accomplished songwriter and is currently working on her first album.

Chris Malling

Chris Malling is a professional musician who lives in Ramelton. Chris is a well known singer and guitar player who has worked for the past twenty years in clubs and venues in Ireland and across Europe. Chris & Charlotte have collaborated on various music projects and have worked together over the past two years.

 

North West Words have hosted spoken word events in Café Blend since March 2010. Events are Free admission & everyone is welcome.

The Open Mic offers members of the audience an opportunity to take part  in the event.New contributors are always welcome.
