The CoH-Sync team support the supporters!

DLDCs health project, CoH-Sync, have a team of Health Facilitators across the county who are more than happy to provide a listening ear to anyone who needs it. There are many novel initiatives being started in our communities and we can link you up with what’s available.

We can discuss nutrition, physical activity, mental health, smoking or alcohol. CoH-Sync is a project supported by the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

The project lead, Lorraine Mc Gowan, explained: ‘’At this time people may not want to change any lifestyle habits and that’s ok.  We are here to support in any way we can. We are very mindful of staff working on the front line and those in the community and voluntary sector supporting the most vulnerable. No matter who you are and what you do, this is a time when having someone to connect with is important.

Parents trying to support children with schoolwork while juggling work from home. People living alone that can’t get out to do their usual routines. We are here to support all. So if we can support you, while you support others, by providing a listening ear, a place to vent frustrations or talk things through. We are here to listen!’’

We can speak over the phone or via online platforms like Zoom or Facebook messenger. If you would like to get in touch and have a confidential chat with one of our team members please text/What’s App/call Lorraine Mc Gowan 087 180 45093 or Siobhan  Coyle 087 360 1503.
