Rural Recreation Officer (Walking)
(3-Year Contract)
Donegal Local Development Company is a community based rural development company operating in County Donegal.
The company wishes to invite applications for the post of Rural Recreation Officer with responsibility for co-ordinating maintenance and management of walking trails and assisting with marketing and promotion of walking in the company’s area of operation.
This is a contract position for a period of 3 years and is funded by the Department of Community, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs.
Candidates should have a good knowledge of and interest in walking route management and promotion , have an understanding of the needs of tourists and the tourism industry, should have some experience in rural/community development work, be a good communicator, self-motivated and have the ability to work effectively with a network of individuals and organisations.
Salary - €37,000.00 per annum
