The Job Club provides practical training and advice in job seeking skills to unemployed people in various locations throughout central Donegal.

DLDC’s Job Club Leaders will advise you on local employment opportunities and assist you with completing job application forms, as well help familiarise you with the current recruitment methods used by employers and assist you to enhance your communication and confidence skills, along with supporting you to set realistic and achievable progression paths.

Under the guidance of the Job Club Leaders, you can benefit from training and support in developing your job seeking skills, as well as sharing your experiences with others, and availing of resources available to help you grow in confidence and find the job that suits you best.

If you are interested in taking part in the Job Club, you must be in receipt of a Department of Social Protection payment – you will also need to contact your nearest Department of Social Protection office to be referred to the service.

The Job Club is free and confidential running over a four week period Monday to Friday 10.30am – 1.30pm. One to One support is also available by appointment.
Duration: Four weeks (10.30am – 1.30 daily)

An allowance of €20 per week is given for out of pocket expenses

Social Welfare Payments will NOT be affected.

 One to One Support Clinics are offered to those who need less intervention i.e. this service is designed for those that are closer to the labour market. The customer requires; Curriculum Vitae to be reviewed or amended by a Job Club Leader, guidance and support for attending job interviews – competency based interviews, advice on key employment skills, letters of application or job search online.

To access support at a One to One Clinic please contact your nearest Intreo office and speak to a Case Officer to be referred or telephone the Job Club on 07198 58959 for more information. A member of the Job Club team will discuss your needs and arrange a suitable date and time to meet with you. This service also operates on an outreach basis.
